Rome, March 5 (LaPresse) – "The hope for peace is a hope that Japan and Italy share, making an important contribution in this regard through the concept of open societies, with markets open to cooperation, with a willingness to collaborate in every field, with anyone, with any other country, in mutual respect and trust. We therefore hope that this approach will be adopted worldwide as a criterion to ensure stability and peace."
These were the words of Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the end of his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo.
