Iran, Araghchi: ‘We are ready if ground troops enter’

Rome, 8 March (LaPresse/AP) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iranian forces are ready if ground troops enter the country. ‘For the moment, we are quite prepared,’ Araghchi said on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press.’ He said Iran has ‘very brave soldiers waiting for any enemy’ and that they will “destroy” those who enter the country’s territory. ‘We have a great civilisation. We have defended our land for thousands of years and will continue to do so,’ Araghchi stressed.
