Rome, 9 March. (LaPresse) – The appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader marks ‘a new era of honour and authority for the Iranian nation’. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as quoted by the Tehran media. Pezeshkian called the election ‘the embodiment of the Islamic Ummah’s will to strengthen national unity’.
