Milan, March 5 (LaPresse) – "I support European defense, I am a convinced Europeanist, and if I believed that this government were anti-European, I would not be part of it."
These were the words of Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in response to a question about Transport Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini's opposition to the European common defense plan announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Tajani spoke in Milan on the sidelines of an event dedicated to the private sector, ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, scheduled to take place in Rome on July 10-11.
