Milan, Apr 14 (LaPresse) – The European economic situation is “halfway between the baseline scenario and the adverse scenario,” said European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde in an interview with Bloomberg TV. “The situation changes every day, so the difficulty for us central bankers is that we must adopt a medium-term view. Price stability, which defines our mandate, is based on medium-term outcomes, and at the same time facts, data, the number of ships blocked here, the volume of oil extracted, change almost daily,” she noted, stressing that the ECB must be “completely agile” and “data-dependent, as we have repeatedly said.”
