Milan, May 25 (LaPresse) – “There may be a chance that the world will receive some good news in the coming hours.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on a visit to India, stated that “significant, though not definitive, progress has been made” in the negotiations and that the world will no longer have to fear Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. Rubio told India Today that the “first step” to be addressed will be the full reopening of the Strait. “The second is that Iran must enter into serious negotiations on three points: its commitment never to possess nuclear weapons, long-term restrictions on its enrichment capabilities, and what to do with highly enriched uranium?” Trump sought to extract greater concessions from Iran than those provided for in the 2015 agreement, reached during the Obama administration, from which the United States subsequently withdrew under the Trump presidency.
