Rome, 28 May (LaPresse) – The Chamber of Deputies has approved, by 127 votes in favour and 82 abstentions, the bill amending the code set out in Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003, concerning the publication of acquittal or dismissal rulings. The measure, which now passes to the Senate for consideration, provides that the person in respect of whom the aforementioned measures have been taken may request their publication and that, in the event of failure to comply with this obligation, they may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner, who may order the publication of the news of the measure in favour of the suspect or defendant.
