Rome, 28 May (LaPresse) – “The debate in the Chamber of Deputies begins on 3 June, and I am confident that after two days of discussion, the first reading will be concluded, after which the bill will move to the Senate.” This was stated by the Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, at the Energy Festival in Lecce, speaking about the parliamentary process expected for the nuclear bill. “Once the enabling bill has been approved,” noted Pichetto in response to a question about the next steps following the green light for the nuclear bill, “we will need to define the implementing regulations in the coming months, and then the delegated decrees.” Therefore, concluded Pichetto, “I hope that by the end of the year we will have provided Italy with the legal framework to enable it to tackle all the substantive procedures in the coming years.”
