Milan, June 6 (LaPresse) – A dominant Marc Márquez wins the Sprint race of the Hungarian Grand Prix, part of the MotoGP World Championship. The Spanish Ducati rider, returning from shoulder surgery, led the race from start to finish after starting from pole position. The only rider to challenge him was fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta on a KTM, who attempted an attack in the early laps but ultimately had to settle for second place ahead of championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, who finished third on his Aprilia. Francesco Bagnaia struggled, finishing only ninth on the other factory Ducati, just ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio on a VR46 Team Ducati. For Márquez, this marks his 16th Sprint victory and his third this season. Also helped by his teammate Jorge Martín finishing sixth, Bezzecchi strengthens his lead in the World Championship standings, moving to +20 over the Spaniard. The main race is scheduled for tomorrow.
