We will turn this region into your hell,” threatened General Seyed Majid Mousavi, as reported by the Iranian agency Tasnim, “this is the response to the Americans’ audacity in the region, God willing.” According to Tasnim, Iran’s high military command has announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guards Navy warned that any vessel approaching the strategic waterway would be subject to decisive action. It also warned all oil tankers and commercial ships currently operating in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman not to leave their anchorage areas.
