Rome, 18 June (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron told France 2 that he does not “believe” the war between the United States and Iran “is completely over”, despite the agreement signed between the parties. “It is always better to reach an agreement than to go to war, especially when there is a risk of escalation,” Macron added. “We are entering a new phase, a phase of cooperation and dialogue, which is preferable to war.” The French president also reported that the US president’s decision to sign the agreement with Iran at Versailles, during a dinner to which he had invited him following the G7 summit in Evian, “was taken entirely spontaneously”.
