Rome, 20 June (LaPresse) – The majority of the Israeli public believes that Netanyahu should resign and not stand in the upcoming elections. This is according to a poll conducted by the talk show ‘Ulpan Shishi’, four months ahead of the elections. According to the poll results, 59 per cent believe that Netanyahu should not stand, compared with 33 per cent who think he should and 8 per cent who answered ‘I don’t know’. The poll, as reported by Channel 12, also asked who should lead the Likud: Nir Barkat came top with 18 per cent, followed by Justice Minister Yariv Levin with 9 per cent, Defence Minister Yisrael Katz with 7 per cent and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana with 6 per cent.
