Rome, June 24 (LaPresse) – In the whole of 2025, the real estate market recorded 986,940 notarized property transaction agreements, showing growth compared with the previous year (+3.9% overall; +4.0% in the residential sector and +1.5% in the economic/commercial sector). Mortgages, with 382,389 agreements, increased by 15.5%. This was reported by Istat. Notarial deeds for property sales and purchases, or other transfers for consideration, totaled 220,404 in the third quarter of 2025 (+2.0% compared with the previous quarter, seasonally adjusted, and +5.1% year-on-year, unadjusted data) and 282,274 in the fourth quarter of 2025 (-1.5% compared with the previous quarter and -0.9% year-on-year), Istat said. The institute also noted that in the last quarter of 2025, notarized agreements for mortgages, loans and other obligations secured by real-estate liens (104,669 agreements) increased by 6.1% compared with the same period in 2024.
