Rome, 25 June (LaPresse) – The next MotoGP season is beginning to take shape. Following Ducati, Aprilia has also officially finalised its line-up for the future. The signing of Pecco Bagnaia is now official; from next season, he will form an all-Italian pairing with Marco Bezzecchi – whose contract renewal was secured some time ago – in response to the Spanish duo of Marquez and Acosta at Borgo Panigale. The two-time world champion in the premier class has signed a four-year contract with the Noale-based manufacturer, valid until 2030. This is an unusually long-term deal in MotoGP, where contracts are usually for two years. Bagnaia will take the place of Jorge Martin (who is set to join Yamaha). “The sky is blue over Noale,” Aprilia Racing exults in a press release, announcing Bagnaia’s arrival and the formation of an all-Italian pairing with Bezzecchi: “Bagnaia’s signing is a major coup for Aprilia Racing, which, with the arrival of a three-time world champion, further consolidates its position at the top of MotoGP. This agreement also confirms the strength of Aprilia Racing’s project on the eve of the 2027 technical revolution, which will see the introduction of the new 850cc engines.”
