Caracas, Jun. 27 (LaPresse) – The 18-year-old Yimvert Berroteran, a young talent of the U-20 national team and Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), is among the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Venezuela. This was confirmed by the Venezuelan national team and the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF). “Venezuelan football says a heartbreaking goodbye to a young man who represented our country’s colours with pride, commitment and love,” the FVF wrote on social media. The 18-year-old played at the U-17 World Cup in Doha a few months ago and more recently for the U-20 national team. The earthquake also caused the deaths of young players Víctor Palacios and Razan Sijaa, according to the FVF and their respective clubs.
