Rome, 27 June (LaPresse) – “The results achieved by the Government, starting with security, show that when there is stability, reforms can be implemented and concrete solutions provided to citizens.” This was stated by the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, speaking in Montefredane (Avellino) at the event ‘From the Meloni Government to the 2027 General Election – Let’s start afresh from the inland areas of Southern Italy’, organised by the former director of Radio Rai, Francesco Pionati. In his speech, Piantedosi highlighted the achievements of the Meloni government in security policy, describing the government’s approach as a model based on practicality, administrative continuity and a close connection with local communities. The minister also expressed confidence in the path of institutional reforms, stating that electoral reform will go ahead as part of a broader process to strengthen the governability and stability of the political system. “The aim,” he emphasised, “is to consolidate an institutional framework capable of guaranteeing stable and effective governments, whilst respecting the will of the electorate.”
