Rome, 28 June (LaPresse) – The Israeli government has unanimously approved a motion recognising the Armenian genocide. “It is never too late to do the right thing,” announced Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, the proposer of the motion, on X. “I would like to thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for his support and the government ministers for their unanimous backing of the resolution I proposed for Israel’s recognition of the Armenian genocide,” the tweet reads. “In doing so, Israel joins the 32 nations that have fulfilled their moral duty by recognising the historical truth and rejecting attempts to deny it.”
