Turin, 30 June (LaPresse) – Following Germany’s elimination in the World Cup round of 16, head coach Julian Nagelsmann has not shied away from criticism but has made it clear that he has no intention of resigning. “ It’s no longer up to me, but if the federation wants me, I’m ready,” he emphasised in his post-match comments. “If anyone doesn’t want me, they’ll tell me. I want to carry on. I’m not the sort of person who runs away.” The 38-year-old manager does, however, admit that “in football, you can’t always control everything; if the DFB (the German Football Association, ed.) wants me, I’ll prepare for the European Championships and the Nations League.”
