Rome, 1 July (LaPresse) – Defence Minister Israel Katz stated, during the state memorial ceremony for those who fell in the Second Lebanon War, that “the events of 7 October have shown us an unequivocal truth: we must not wait for the threat to come knocking at our door. We have struck twice with proactive pre-emptive strikes in Iran and, if necessary, we will strike a third time as well.” This was reported by Ynet. The minister added that “the Israel Defence Forces will not withdraw and will remain indefinitely in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza to protect our citizens and our communities from jihadist elements”.
