Rome, July 2 (LaPresse) – All opposition members of the Rai Supervisory Commission have resigned. LaPresse learns this. The step back therefore concerns all bicameral members from M5S, PD, IV and AVS. A decision that follows the long stalemate affecting the Supervisory Commission for over a year, with the majority having decided to boycott much of the ordinary activity after never receiving openness from the opposition for the ratification of Simona Agnes as Rai president. “Today I handed in to the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber my resignation as President of the Rai Parliamentary Supervisory Commission,” Barbara Floridia announced on Facebook. “It is a painful but necessary and inevitable decision. I had to acknowledge that staying and denouncing was not enough. I can only give a strong signal in the face of the arrogance and the reckless use that this majority makes of institutions and parliamentary commissions. I feel strongly within me the honor and discipline owed to the role I represent; for these reasons I cannot remain watching helplessly,” she added.
