Rome, 2 July (LaPresse) – The Council of Ministers, following a proposal by the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policy, Nello Musumeci, has approved a six-month state of emergency for overseas operations in Venezuela. “The measure,” reads a statement, “was deemed necessary, in agreement with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, following the violent seismic events that struck the area west of Caracas, in the Bolivarian Republic, on 24 June 2026. A sum of 3 million euros has been allocated from the National Emergency Fund to implement assistance and relief operations.”
