Milan, Craxi: ‘If Santanché holds Di Pietro in such high regard, let her take him on as a director of her companies’

Milan, 2 July (LaPresse) – “Di Pietro as a candidate in Milan? It strikes me as a joke on the part of Ms Santanchè; if she holds such boundless esteem for Mr Di Pietro, I would advise her to appoint him as chief executive of one of her companies.” This was stated by Forza Italia’s Senate group leader, Stefania Craxi, commenting on the proposal by former Tourism Minister Daniela Santanché, who had put forward the former ‘Mani Pulite’ public prosecutor as a centre-right candidate in Milan. When asked if she was relieved that Di Pietro had ruled out the possibility, Craxi replied: “I am not relieved because we at Forza Italia would not have accepted it.”
