Kyiv (Ukraine), 6 July (LaPresse) – At least seven people have been killed in a series of missile and drone attacks launched by the Russians on Kyiv overnight, according to local authorities. A further 24 people were injured, according to the head of the local military administration, Tymur Tkachenko. Tkachenko himself reported that a residential building in the Podilskyi district has partially collapsed, whilst in the Darnytsia district, several multi-storey buildings have been damaged and there are fears that some people may be trapped under the rubble. “These are residential buildings. Places where people were sleeping and going about their daily lives,” said Tkachenko. Drones and cruise missiles were used in the attack. Earlier, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, had warned of the possibility of a new large-scale Russian raid on the capital. Last night’s bombardment comes just a few days after the combined Russian attack that killed at least 31 people in Kyiv.
