Rome, 6 July (LaPresse) – No change is on the cards for Brazil’s manager despite their elimination by Norway at the 2026 World Cup. Rodrigo Caetano, director of national teams at the CBF, has in fact reaffirmed his full confidence in Carlo Ancelotti. “It is up to us to emphasise the need for a long-term project, a programme that will continue with this manager right through to the 2030 World Cup, obviously with the necessary adjustments,” said Caetano. “The CBF placed its trust in the manager even before the results came in, based on just one year’s work. Otherwise, we would be trapped in a perpetual cycle of starting from scratch,” he added. “There are teams today considered very strong, such as France, who have a manager who has been there for 16 years, despite not having been successful in his first two spells.”
