Milan, 11 July (LaPresse) – France is sweltering, grappling with its third heatwave in two months, which is fuelling several wildfires in the south of the country. Météo-France has placed 24 departments on red alert for today, including the Paris region, whilst a further 59 departments are on orange alert. According to the meteorological institute, maximum temperatures are forecast to range between 35 and 38 degrees in most regions, with local peaks of up to 39 degrees.
