April 25, Meloni: ‘Today Italy reaffirms democratic values denied by fascism’.

Rome, April 25 (LaPresse) – ‘Today Italy celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Liberation. On this day, the nation honours its newfound freedom and reaffirms the centrality of those democratic values that the fascist regime had denied and that have been engraved in the Republican Constitution for seventy-seven years’. This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation. ‘Democracy finds strength and vigour if it is based on respect for the other, on confrontation and freedom and not on oppression, hatred and delegitimisation of the political adversary,’ the Prime Minister added.
