Turin, Aug. 18 (LaPresse) – A Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighter involved in the October 7, 2023 attack and the abduction of an Israeli hostage was killed in an attack in the southern part of the Gaza Strip this week. The Israeli military reported this, as cited by The Times of Israel. The attack carried out Sunday in Khan Younis killed Tareq Anwar Khamis Ra’i, identified by the military as a commander of a cell in the Islamic Jihad’s logistics unit. On October 7, Ra’i had stormed the Be’eri kibbutz “and taken part in the abduction of an Israeli civilian,” the IDF said, without specifying who the hostage was.
