On his Serie A debut, the Portuguese manager snatched victory at the Olimpico Grande Torino against Ignazio Abate’s Granata, who was also making his debut in charge in the top flight. The Rossoneri’s victory was sealed by a one-two from Cisse and Rabiot, with the opening goal coming in the 64th minute and the second in the 66th. There was a final scare with Che Adams’ stunning goal in the 93rd minute, by which time it was too late for a comeback.
