(LaPresse) – “Tests carried out on samples received from the Arnas Civico hospital in Palermo, where Cristina Benfratelli was treated, have tested positive for Corynebacterium diphtheriae and have detected the gene for the toxin responsible for respiratory diphtheria, which caused the death of a four-year-old girl.” This was announced in a statement by the Italian National Institute of Health.
