Madrid (Spain), 26 Aug. (LaPresse) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has formally requested to report to the Congress of Deputies on the government’s handling of the crisis in Ceuta on September 9. Yesterday, executive spokeswoman Elma Saiz had anticipated at a press conference, at the end of the Council of Ministers, that the Socialist leader would report to Parliament. The opposition criticized Sanchez for not being present during the crisis and for convening the National Security Council and establishing the “single command” to manage the emergency nearly a month after the mass arrival of approximately 80,000 migrants in the autonomous city.
