Rome, 28 Aug. (LaPresse) – Rai has announced that, from next season, the presentation of “Report” will be entrusted to Giulia Presutti and Daniele Piervincenzi, both winners of Rai’s selection process for professional journalists. Presutti, who has been a correspondent for “Report” for several years, came top in the competition, whilst Piervincenzi has extensive experience in investigative television journalism, gained in part through his work presenting “Nemo – Nessuno escluso” and “Popolo Sovrano”. Rai presents this decision as a strengthening of its in-house investigative journalism, based on professionalism, merit and expertise. Within the framework of trade union agreements and procedures for managing career paths, the organisation has also offered Sigfrido Ranucci three possible redeployment roles, in line with his rank and experience. According to information obtained by LaPresse, the options are deputy director ad personam of Tg3, deputy director of RaiNews or foreign correspondent. Finally, Rai emphasises that investigative journalism remains a hallmark of the public service and that credibility and authority must be guaranteed by editorial independence and rigorous impartiality.
