EU: Iceland heading towards ‘no’ to negotiations on European Union

Rome, Aug. 30 (LaPresse) – Iceland is heading towards a ‘no’ vote on negotiations to join the European Union. The referendum is now close to the final completion of the vote count and – as reported by broadcaster Ruv – the ‘no’ stands at 52.5%, while the ‘yes’ is at 47.5%. Only the votes from the constituencies in the southwest remain to be counted, which are nevertheless expected to be in line with the votes obtained so far.
