(LaPresse) – Vox leader Santiago Abascal “criticises me for introducing checks” on travellers arriving from Italy, but “does not mention that, for no reason at all, the Italian government – apparently an ally of Abascal’s party – has suspended the Schengen Agreement with Spain, and has done so to a country” such as Spain, which, during the crisis in Lampedusa “took in migrants” who had arrived irregularly on the Italian island, “yet Abascal did not speak of betrayal then, as he is doing now”. This was stated by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in the Congress of Deputies, responding to statements by political groups on the crisis in Ceuta.
