Rome, Oct. 24 (LaPresse) – “Today we have a major problem in our country: there is less and less public participation and more and more repression. If a government is forced to introduce a first security decree and it does not work, then a second, a third, a fourth, and eventually reaches an eighth security decree, we must make it clear to all citizens that this government has failed on security.” This was stated by the president of the Five Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte, speaking at the general assembly of Progetto civico Italia, currently taking place in Rome. “Dear government, dear Meloni and associates, you are ridiculous. Do not challenge us on security. We governed during the most difficult phase of the pandemic and never even considered introducing new criminal offences or harsher penalties,” Conte added.
