Genoa, 25 Oct. (LaPresse) – Investigations are under way into possible contacts or links between Youssef Siher, the alleged creator of the ‘17 October Movement’ page who was detained on Saturday in connection with the street clashes in Milan last weekend, and the group implicated in the Genoa Anti-Mafia Directorate’s (DDA) investigation into funding for Hamas – an investigation which had led to the arrest of Mohammad Hannoun, president of the Association of Palestinians in Italy. Having learnt of the role allegedly attributed to Siher, investigators have launched a series of checks, which will continue from tomorrow, to clarify whether there may have been any contact between the alleged mastermind of the movement and groups accused of funding Hamas.
