Milan, 28 Oct. (LaPresse) – “I am wrapping up a long day of meetings, discussions and preparations to carry out the will of the voters.” This is what Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot wrote in a post on the social media platform X, following the as-yet-provisional results of the Israeli elections. “More long days of work lie ahead, but we are focused on the arduous task entrusted to us: bringing about change in Israel and forming a government of Zionist mobilisation,” adds Eisenkot, “this is the will of the people, who have expressed their lack of confidence in the government of 7 October and in the evasion and obstruction of the election process in general. A blockage that has reached a historic low over the last twenty years.” He then concluded: “I feel the weight of the responsibility and the trust placed in me by hundreds of thousands of citizens who believe in the State of Israel and in Zionism.”
