Milan, May 5 (LaPresse) – More arrests have been made in the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office regarding the ultras of San Siro. Five people have been imprisoned and another two placed under house arrest by order of Milan’s investigating judge, Domenico Santoro, on charges of extortion, usury aggravated by mafia association, robbery, and issuing invoices for non-existent transactions.

Early this morning, the Milan police and the financial police carried out the arrest warrants for 45-year-old Francesco Intagliata from Palermo, as well as 50-year-old Filippo Monardo, 36-year-old Giuseppe Orecchio, 39-year-old Davide Scarfone, and 43-year-old Domenico Sità, all of whom were placed in separate cells. The house arrests were applied to 67-year-old Mauro Russo and 49-year-old Carmelo Montalto, born in Germany.

At the center of this latest strand of the 'Doppia Curva' investigation by prosecutors Paolo Storari and Sara Ombra, with deputy prosecutor Alessandra Dolci, are the parking business around the San Siro-Meazza stadium and usurious loans with interest rates of up to 803% directed at entrepreneur Piero Bene. Bene, through his company Be.Pi Sport, focuses on programming and broadcasting related to amateur football, Eccellenza, Serie D, Serie B Women’s, and more.
