Warsaw (Poland), 31 Oct. (LaPresse/AP) – In Poland, police have secured the Constitutional Tribunal building whilst dozens of demonstrators gathered to protest against what they consider to be the unjustified suspension of the president of the country’s highest judicial authority by Donald Tusk’s current government. The police stated that they had detained three people after some demonstrators climbed over the tribunal’s fence and others threw objects at officers. Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who was en route to Senegal, said he had turned back because of the situation. “At a time like this, the president must be in Poland. I am cutting short my trip to Senegal. I am returning,” he wrote on X.
