Rome, Nov. 1 (LaPresse) – “In recent days, a humanitarian operation has taken place in support of the civilian population in the city of Oleshky. I hope that the cooperation between the parties that made this necessary act of humanity possible will strengthen the will to engage in dialogue and lead to new concrete peace initiatives”. Pope Leo XIV said this after reciting the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square, on the Solemnity of All Saints. The Pontiff then turned his thoughts to the victims of conflicts: “Let us entrust to Mary, Queen of Peace and of All Saints, all those who suffer because of wars in every part of the world. May the Virgin Mary, blessed because she believed in the word of the Lord, accompany our steps along the path of holiness, so that we never tire of building peace, both in the most important situations and in those of everyday life”.
