Belgium: Prime Minister De Wever set to resign following failure to reach agreement on the budget

Turin, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever is due to visit the Royal Palace this morning to tender his resignation to King Philippe. The inner cabinet, which met overnight, concluded its session without reaching an agreement on the ten billion needed to reduce the deficit by 2029. According to Belgian media, the King may nevertheless grant the Prime Minister a little more time for one final attempt, with the Deputy Prime Ministers still believing it is possible to reach an agreement.
