Rome, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – Four NBA matches were played last night. Luka Doncic, once again the star of the show, led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 131–125 victory over the Toronto Raptors (3–3). The Slovenian racked up 45 points and 15 rebounds, making the difference in the final quarter and preventing his teammates from being caught out by the Raptors’ 43-point run in just over ten minutes, fuelled by Scottie Barnes (29 points) and RJ Barrett (22). The Boston Celtics beat the Orlando Magic 108–97 thanks to 32 points from Jayson Tatum and a performance from Paul George, who recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. For the Magic, Anthony Black scored 23 points. Without Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 124–112, driven by Yaxel Lendeborg, who scored 37 points on 6 out of 11 from three-point range, and De’Anthony Melton (21). Rui Hachimura’s 24 points were not enough for the Clippers. The Brooklyn Nets secured their first win, beating the Indiana Pacers 98–90. Michael Porter Jr. scored 23 points, alongside 15 from Day’ron Sharpe. The Pacers paid the price for the absences of Obi Toppin and Ivica Zubac.
