The Americans have voted and their verdict deserves respect.” So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, speaking to QN, on the outcome of the US mid-term elections. “As far as relations between Italy and the United States are concerned,” Meloni stated, “nothing changes: for us, the US is a key ally regardless of who governs it or the parliamentary majorities. Unlike the left, which will now rediscover, as if by magic, that the United States is a great ally,” said Meloni. “If that is the case, however, we can only be pleased,” she added.
