Milan, 5 Nov. (LaPresse) – According to the French trade union CGT, based on figures updated at 5.45 pm, 1.6 million demonstrators took to the streets today across France, including 350,000 in Paris. This figure is higher than the initial estimates from the French Ministry of the Interior, which put the number of demonstrators on the streets across the country at over 600,000 at 5.00 pm. In either case, however, this represents the largest single-day mobilisation this autumn.
