Italian Open, Fognini: "My Last Time in Rome, Time for the Young"

Milan, May 7 (LaPresse) – “These will be my last Italian Open,” said Fabio Fognini, announcing that this year’s tournament in Rome will be his final appearance, during an interview with Sky Sport. The Ligurian player will face Britain’s Jacob Fearnley in the first round on Thursday. “I want to make room for the younger generation—it’s the right thing to do. I’ve had a wonderful career and I’m happy, but like all things, there is a beginning and an end,” Fognini added.
