Milan, May 25 (LaPresse) – Polls are open – and will remain so until 11:00 p.m. – in 126 municipalities for the local elections. About two million people are eligible to vote, with the most significant races taking place in the four provincial capitals involved: Genoa, Ravenna, Matera, and Taranto.
There are 31 municipalities voting with populations over 15,000. Voting will also take place tomorrow from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Runoffs (only for municipalities with more than 15,000 residents) are scheduled for June 8 and 9.
