Milan, 10 July (LaPresse) – “We do not agree with these preliminary findings, which do not adequately take into account the significant measures we have taken to protect teenagers. Since this investigation began, we have launched accounts for teenagers, which automatically protect young people and give parents control, allowing them to block access to Instagram at night and limit daily usage to just 15 minutes. We share the European Commission’s commitment to ensuring safe and positive online experiences for young people, and we will continue to work constructively with them.” This was the statement from a Meta spokesperson regarding the EU Commission’s investigation, which found that the company had allegedly breached the Digital Services Act (DSA).
