Milan, June 24 (LaPresse) – Gabriele P., the 18-year-old accused of aggravated multiple vehicular homicide over the crash that occurred at dawn on Sunday in Senago, during which three of his friends lost their lives—17-year-olds Lorenzo Benin and Riccardo Provasi, and 18-year-old Camilla Copparoni—exercised his right to remain silent and made spontaneous statements. According to reports, the young man said he was “sorry to the victims’ families.” The decision by investigating judge Maria Beatrice Parati on whether to validate the arrest and apply any precautionary measure is expected in the coming hours. The 18-year-old, defended by lawyer Martina Isella and identified as the driver of the car that went off the road into the Villoresi canal, was questioned at San Vittore Prison. Prosecutor Rosario Ferracane requested yesterday that the arrest be validated and that pre-trial detention in prison be imposed.
