Rome, July 6 (LaPresse) – “Fragmentation, polarization, and closedness to dialogue in politics are a harmful phenomenon that may reappear. No one is an island, and democracy is precisely that community of destiny which helps us think together and find the answers needed for the good of all. The constituent spirit shows us an indispensable method for addressing the major issues, freeing ourselves from dangerous polarization and reaching shared decisions, a polarization that is confrontational but not constructive, poor in culture and vision.” This was stated by the president of the Italian Bishops’ Conference, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, in a message to the conference “Giving Voice Back to Democracy” held today in Rome.
