Milan, 6 July (LaPresse) – Following Andrea Beretta, Marco Ferdico, former leader of Inter’s ultras, has also turned state’s evidence. This is revealed in three interrogation transcripts, previewed by the Corriere della Sera, in which the 41-year-old – on trial for the murder of Vittorio Boiocchi – not only confesses to his role in the killing on 29 October 2022, in which the former leader of the ‘ Boys San’ was shot dead outside his home ahead of the Inter v Sampdoria match, he clarifies the role of other participants in the attack and that of the ‘ndrangheta in managing organised supporter groups at San Siro. To “hold on to Milan’s Curva Nord”, “we needed the ‘ndrangheta; I told them so, and Beretta can confirm it”, Ferdico stated in the record. The interviews were given by the ultra, assisted by lawyer Francesco Provenzano, on 30 May, 9 June and 22 June 2026 before prosecutors Paolo Storari and Stefano Ammendola. The former Curva Nord social media manager, already sentenced to nine years for criminal association aggravated by mafia involvement, also spoke about his co-defendant Mauro Nepi, the only one who was able to opt for a fast-track trial and whose trial is due to begin on Tuesday 7 July: “Nepi was eager to carry it out (the murder, ed.),” said Ferdico. “He kept coming to me saying, ‘When are we going to do it? When are we going to do it?’, and he did the same with Beretta.”
