Switzerland, Mattarella: “Moved thoughts for the victims’ families, Italy stands by”

Rome, Jan. 1 (LaPresse) – “I have learned with deep sadness the news of the explosion at the ski resort of Crans-Montana and its tragic consequences. I extend my heartfelt thoughts to the families of the numerous victims and my sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. In this sad circumstance, I wish to convey to you, Mr. President, the expressions of profound condolence and the shared solidarity of the Italian Republic as well as my personal sentiments.” This is written by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation.
